Ethan is currently Producing Artistic Director of the historic Weathervane Theatre entering its 59th Season

Bio

Ethan is originally from Newton, MA. Thanks to his mother's wise decision to sign him up for theatre classes, Ethan grew up performing and studying all over Massachusetts. After High School, Ethan attended Emerson College and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. After graduation, he moved to New York City and began living the alleged "dream". Ethan began almost immediately performing in New York, on national tours and regional theatre. Favorite credits have include the title role in Elf (Arkansas Rep) Oliver! (Cameron Mackintosh's national tour), Compleat Wks of Wllm Shkspr ABRIDGED (Arkansas Rep), Forever Plaid (TriArts/Sharon Playhouse), The Who's Tommy (Arkansas Rep/Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), tick, tick..BOOM! (Cape Rep/Provincetown Theatre), The Diary of Anne Frank (Ocean State Theatre Co.) Old Wicked Songs (Provincetown Theatre), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Northern Stage/Arkansas Rep), Gross Indecency (Provincetown Theatre), Avenue Q (Arkansas Rep) and The Full Monty (Arkansas Rep/Cape Rep/Provincetown Theatre) Side Man (Cape Rep), The Drowsy Chaperone (Cape Rep) The 39 Steps (Alhambra/ACCC) and Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Arkansas Rep) A Christmas Story (Alhambra) and 1776(Ocean State Theatre Co.). Ethan was a member of the Equity acting company at the historic Weathervane Theatre appearing in 9 to 5Kiss Me, KateMoon Over BuffaloAvenue Q and the regional premiere of Young Frankenstein for which he received a 2012 NHTA nomination. He returned in 2017 to be Intern Program Director in addition to his work on the mainstage in Seussical, West Side Story and Inherit the Wind. He is now the Producing Artistic Director of the Weathervane. Ethan created the title role in the regional premiere of Andrew Gerle and Maryrose Wood's The Tutor (SBT/2007 Spirit Award) He also appeared in the regional premieres of Marisa Michelson’s Lovers (Vineyard Playhouse) and Tom Dudzick’s A Miracle on South Division St. (7 Angels) and DT in the original New York production of The Sexless Years at Ars Nova (2006 MAC Nomination) and several engagements of Emily Wade Adam's Love is Blind .  Ethan appeared in BC/EFA's Gypsy of the Year at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre. Ethan appeared in the world premiere of Larson Award winner Lance Horne's Back in the Day (Cape Rep) and can be heard on the original cast album. He can also be heard on the upcoming cast album for the Drama Desk nominated Off-Broadway revival of Baby for which he was also director/choreographer. Ethan was the Associate Artistic Director of Off-Broadway’s Out of the Box Theatrics. He appearred and co-produced, with Provincetown Counter Productions, the World Premiere of David Caudle's The Common Swallow. He also appears on Lisa Howard's debut album Songs of Innocence and Experience. Ethan has received best performance of the year citation from the Cape Cod Times twice.
